WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR ME

"A person that has a personal investment in their task and has motivations for their beliefs, are going to actively, with exuberance, strive to achieve their goals."

Dr. Joseph J. Bradley, M.S., D.C.Here are my motivations...

WHAT I STAND FOR AND WHAT I BELIEVE IN:

 Addiction

Addiction is the #1 healthcare concern in The United States. I have been involved in the treatment of thousands of people over many years.

My Daughter's 10 Year Chip
September 3, 2017

 MY MOTIVATION:

I have known many people who have suffered with and/or died due to addiction. Addiction causes suffering to millions of Americans. I have two children who suffered from the disease of addiction and are alive, sober, healthy and flourishing today. Treatment works.

Healthcare

People need appropriate healthcare so as to maintain an ability to life, liberty and a pursuit of happiness. Being sick should not mean you continue to suffer after you are healthy.

MY MOTIVATION:

Years ago, I had a life threatening illness that resulted in multiple surgeries and many long term hospital stays. Approx. 3 months in the hospital, including a long stint in ICU. Even with healthcare insurance, my health care bills were overwhelming and exhausted all my funds. I have long since achieved optimal health and try to assist others who feel hopeless.

Second Amendment

We the people have the right to defend ourselves and our families. “… shall not be infringed.”

MY MOTIVATION:

Being a former peace officer, I saw first hand, people being victims of violent crime because due to the laws of that state, were in a position of disadvantage. I will fight for the people of the great state of Nevada to maintain their lawful right to bear arms.

Education

Having an education provides an ability to excel. From grade school; graduation from high school (GED); Undergraduate and graduate; or a trade education; education is very important.

MY MOTIVATION:

As a healthcare professional and having worked with thousands of addicts, I encourage all my patients to continue to pursue ongoing knowledge in any area of interest. To learn keeps our thinking sharp and our brain gets a replacement activity to negative obsessive thoughts.

Veterans

Our veterans are why we get to enjoy the freedoms we have as Americans. Our veterans must be supported and helped even after their active duty is over. Our military represents discipline, honor, integrity and service for others.

My Father's Purple Heart.  Wounded in Combat

MY MOTIVATION:

My mother was in the Navy. My father is a former marine who served in combat in the Korean War. I grew up with discipline and a genuine appreciation of what sacrifices my father (and all combat veterans) make. Growing up and hearing their stories, I learned real life of a veteran; not what is portrayed on TV or in movies.

Law Enforcement

Police and all first responders are the ones that help when you’re unable to help yourself. Sometimes the work may cause some stress and/or isolation or physical/psychological issues.

Police Officer of the Year 1989

MY MOTIVATION:

I was a first responder and former police officer of the year. I am driven by helping others. I understand first hand some of the real issues these men and women deal with. I have been and remain committed to providing ongoing help to those that help.
